Highlighting the vital role of maritime professionals in safeguarding the oceans, maritime students participated in a seminar conducted by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) held at SCMBT Annex Covered Court, September 24.

In celebration of the birthday of Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the government launched the initiative “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat,” which aimed to bring various public services closer to the people. Among the participating agencies in this nationwide initiative was the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), through its Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST).

In line with its commitment to transparency and accountability, Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology Inc. recently underwent an onsite orientation and liquidation activity conducted by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for the grants under the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST) programs, namely the Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) and the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES).

In a collaborative effort to promote inclusivity, resilience, and preparedness, students from the College and Senior High School departments of Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology Inc. joined forces for a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) Training held at SCMBT Annex Covered Court.

In a heartfelt and inspiring recognition program held in honor of 𝐊𝐞𝐚𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐆𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐌. 𝐒𝐮𝐚𝐧, Silver Medalist at 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, and 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐃𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧, Wall and Floor Tiling competitor, students, faculty, and top officials gathered to celebrate a milestone marked not only by technical excellence, but also by unwavering perseverance and faith held at SCMBT Annex Covered Court, September 5.

(SCMBT) actively participated in an earthquake drill conducted by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Oriental Mindoro, August 9.

𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 I First-year college students of the Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology (SCMBT) took part in a Fire Safety Seminar and Fire Drill organized and facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Calapan City, led by FCINSP Angel Lynn B. Salvador, City Fire Marshal.
