In celebration of the birthday of Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the government launched the initiative “Handog ng Pangulo: Serbisyong Sapat para sa Lahat,” which aimed to bring various public services closer to the people. Among the participating agencies in this nationwide initiative was the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), through its Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST).
In connection with this, the 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗰. (𝗦𝗖𝗠𝗕𝗧) proudly joined the activity, which primarily highlighted the payout of educational grants to student-beneficiaries under the 𝗧𝘂𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝘂𝗻𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 (𝗧𝗗𝗣) and 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝗶𝗱𝘆 (𝗧𝗘𝗦). Alongside the payout, the event also featured the on-site processing of 𝗲𝗖𝗔𝗩 (Electronic Certification, Authentication, and Verification) for graduates and students; client servicing and assistance for walk-in inquiries and concerns from students and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs); and an orientation on UniFAST programs and liquidation processes to ensure the proper utilization of funds.
Through this initiative, CHED through its UniFAST program aimed to provide immediate, accessible, and efficient services to students, particularly in the disbursement of educational grants.
The active presence of SCMBT in the event reaffirmed the institution’s strong commitment to supporting its student-beneficiaries and ensuring that government educational assistance reaches them promptly and effectively.
