ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Alumni Scholarship, the applicant must meet all the following criteria:

Alumni Status

  • Must be a graduate of Senior High School (SHS) from Southwestern College of Maritime Business and Technology.

Academic Standing

  • Students with or without failed grades in college per semester are still eligible.

  • There is no minimum grade requirement for this scholarship.

Enrollment Status

  • Must be enrolled in a continuous study program (no semester gaps)


DEAN'S LISTER

Eligibility Criteria

Students may qualify for the Dean’s Lister Scholarship based on their academic performance in the previous semester.

Note: All subjects must meet the minimum grade requirement which is 85.


WORKING STUDENT’S INCENTIVE

Eligibility Criteria 

To qualify for the Working Student's Incentive, the applicant must meet all the following criteria: 

Employment Status 

  • The student must be currently employed at the time of enrollment. 

Proof of Employment

Must present a valid Certificate of Employment (COE) issued by the employer, clearly indicating: 

  • The student’s full name 

  • Position or job title 

  • Employment status (e.g., part-time, full-time) 

  • Date of employment 

  • Employer’s contact information  


BARANGAY CAPTAIN PRIVILEGE

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Barangay Captain Privilege, the applicant must meet all the following criteria:

Parent’s Position

  • The student must be a child of a currently serving Barangay Captain.

Proof of Eligibility

  • Must present a Certification from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) confirming the parent’s active status as Barangay Captain.


SK CHAIRMAN PRIVILEGE

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the SK Chairman Privilege, the applicant must meet all the following criteria:

Current Position

  • The student must be a currently serving Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairman.

Proof of Eligibility

  • Must present a Certification from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) confirming their active status as SK Chairman.


INDIGENOUS PEOPLE (IP) INCENTIVE

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Indigenous People (IP) Incentive, the applicant must meet all the following criteria:

Indigenous Identity

  • The student must be a recognized member of an Indigenous People (IP) community.

Proof of Membership

  • Must present a Certification from their respective tribe or indigenous council confirming their IP status.

  • Must also submit a PSA-issued Birth Certificate that clearly indicates the student’s ethnicity as part of an IP group.


NEAREST KIN INCENTIVE

Eligibility Criteria

This incentive is granted to students who are related to employees of the institution. The benefit depends on both the length of employment which is and the degree of kinship:

Full Scholarship (100% Tuition Fee Discount)

  • Granted to immediate family members (e.g., child, spouse) of employees who have been employed for 10 years or more.

Partial Discount (25% Tuition Fee Discount)

  • Granted to second-degree relatives (e.g., grandchild, niece/nephew, sibling, grandparent) of employees who have been employed for less than 10 years.

Proof of Relationship 

  • Submit PSA-issued Birth Certificates or other legal documents proving the relationship between the student and the employee. 


SIBLING'S INCENTIVE

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Sibling's Incentive, the applicant must meet all the following criteria:

Simultaneous Enrollment

  • Both siblings must be officially enrolled in the same semester at the institution.

Proof of Relationship

  • Must submit a PSA-issued Birth Certificate for each sibling to verify their familial relationship.


SOLO PARENT INCENTIVE

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Single Parent Incentive, the applicant must meet all the following criteria:

Solo Parent Status

  • The student must be a child of a solo parent or a solo parent student.

Proof of Eligibility

  • Must present a valid Certification from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) confirming solo parent status under Republic Act No. 8972 (Solo Parents’ Welfare Act of 2000)
