Southwesternian Researchers proves their Mastery on Investigative and analytic skills at the MIMAROPA REGIONAL ADOLESCENT AND YOUTH HEALTH DEVELOPMENT SUMMIT 2025 in Puerto Princesa City Palawan

Another feathers on our hat as bonafide Southwesternians as we continue to pour laurels on his name .

Featuring our eight ( astonishing academic research output which was meticulous selected and evaluated to complete the roster of 20 eloquent research presenters from prestigious private and public schools among the Region. PPS became this years 1st pivot point of AYHD Summit which serves as a platform to amplify youth voices, showcase research and innovations, and promote evidence-based advocacy on adolescent health and development.

Driven by dedication and pledge made by youth Council members of the MiMaRoPa Region spearheaded by the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) along with the vigorous member or Regional Government units and Non Government advocates. This year’s youth congregation movement encompasses a proactive steps towards willingness to invest time, effort, and initiative into modernization, reform and innovation which has steadfastness of purposes.

August 11 - 13, 2025, the Edward S. Hagedorn Coliseum in Puerto Princesa City Palawan became the heart of youth engagement and empowerment as the MIMAROPA Commission on Population Department kick off the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗠𝗶𝗠𝗮𝗥𝗼𝗣𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗬𝗛𝗗 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁. Guided by the theme “𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻, 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗨𝗽 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘀!”, the three-day event brought together youth leaders, educators, and advocates from across the region for a dynamic exchange of ideas, skills, and inspiration.

The summit featured interactive booths from various government and non government departments, and partner organizations, offering hands-on activities and information sessions on health, education, livelihood, and youth participation. These interactive spaces encouraged attendees to learn more about programs and initiatives that directly impact young people’s lives.

A key highlight of the program was the 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁, which centered on studies and projects about kabataan, exploring issues, opportunities, and innovations that address the needs and aspirations of today’s youth. Participating institutions included 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗰., Divine Word College of Calapan, Palawan State University, and Western Philippine University. This segment gave student-researchers the opportunity to share their findings, exchange perspectives, and inspire action for youth development in the MIMAROPA region.

The event’s momentum was further fueled by 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗴’𝘀 powerful keynote address, urging the youth to embrace innovation, take initiative, and lead their communities toward positive change. His message left participants motivated to become active contributors to the nation’s progress.

The 2025 MiMaRoPa Regional AYHD Summit closed with strengthened youth networks, a renewed sense of purpose, and a shared commitment to “𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝘂𝗽” for a better and stronger Philippines.
