Highlighting the vital role of maritime professionals in safeguarding the oceans, maritime students participated in a seminar conducted by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) held at SCMBT Annex Covered Court, September 24.
The seminar aimed to inform and educate students on the latest MARPOL regulations, sustainable practices in port operations, and the collective obligation to protect the ocean from pollution. It also showcased the opportunities that come with adopting eco-friendly and responsible maritime practices.
Guest speakers from the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 (𝗣𝗖𝗚) led insightful presentations and discussions, inspiring students to apply their learning in advancing safety, sustainability, and environmental protection.
