𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 I First-year college students of the Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology (SCMBT) took part in a Fire Safety Seminar and Fire Drill organized and facilitated by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Calapan City, led by FCINSP Angel Lynn B. Salvador, City Fire Marshal.
The activity aimed to equip both teachers and students with essential knowledge on preventing and responding to fire emergencies, ensuring safety within the campus.
During the seminar, BFP personnel discussed fire prevention measures, the proper use of firefighting equipment, and step-by-step procedures during evacuation. They also demonstrated how to identify fire hazards in classrooms, laboratories, and dormitories.
Following the lecture, participants engaged in a practical fire drill, where they applied evacuation techniques, learned how to stay calm during emergencies, and witnessed a live demonstration of fire suppression using extinguishers.
