𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 I SCMBT Strengthens Ties with 2GO and Amiga Gracia Travel Services Through Vessel FamTour
In a significant step toward fortifying partnerships and expanding industry-based learning for its students, Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology Inc. joined an ocular visit at Manila North Harbor Pier 4, August 1.
Representing the institution were Sir Zaldy D. Andal, OIC-Principal of SHS, and Major Jonny Magluyan who engaged with fellow industry partners during the event. The visit was facilitated by Amiga Gracia Travel Services, in continued collaboration with 2GO Travel through its “2GO Masigla” initiative.
This recent activity underscores SCMBT’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its ties with 2GO and Amiga Gracia—two of the institution’s existing partners in delivering industry exposure and career pathways for students. The partnership, which has already been established, is now being made even more dynamic through continued engagement and mutual support.
The Vessel Famtour included a detailed orientation on 2GO’s training and employment programs, giving students a clearer understanding of real-world practices in the travel, tourism, and maritime sectors.
This initiative paves the way for enhanced internship placements, job opportunities, and industry immersion for both senior high school and college students at SCMBT.
The institution remains committed to deepening its partnership with Amiga Gracia Travel Services and 2GO, ensuring that SCMBT learners are well-prepared for the demands of globally competitive industries in tourism, hospitality, and maritime business.
