Basic Training

As part of their academic and industry preparation requirements, incoming 3rd year students from the Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT), Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE), Bachelor of Science in Hotel Management (BSHM), Diploma Courses, and Ship Catering programs have successfully completed their Basic Training held at Cavite from June 8-13.

The Basic Training course covered the four core components consisting of Personal Survival Techniques (PST), Elementary First Aid (EFA), Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF), and Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR) designed to develop the safety awareness and emergency response skills essential for future maritime professionals.

Participating students were spearheaded by 2/M John Rhome E.J. Mamangon, Onboard Training (OBT) Supervisor and Lead Facilitator, with the support of 2/M Rummel R. Tizon, BSMT Assessor, and 4/E Vonn Martinus Pantoja.
