To strengthen awareness of the Spanish language and foster Filipino-Hispanic cultural exchange, Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology Inc. spearheaded the ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ผ ๐๐ถ๐๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ-๐๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ผ bringing together educators, government representatives, students, and partner organizations held at the Gabaldon Building.
The forum gathered participants from the Department of Education (DepEd) Calapan City and Oriental Mindoro Division, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), various non-government organizations (NGOs), as well as SCMBT administrators, employees, and students.
The event served as a platform to introduce the Spanish language and highlight educational opportunities designed to enhance participants' communication skills, particularly in speaking and writing Spanish. Discussions also emphasized the growing importance of multilingualism in education, professional development, and international collaboration.

They also introduced the Instituto Cervantes Manila, presenting its language programs, certification opportunities, and initiatives aimed at promoting Spanish language and culture in the Philippines.
