𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 I SCMBT Takes Active Role in NaMMAT Through Comprehensive Orientation and Ocular Visit
Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology (SCMBT) took a proactive step in ensuring the smooth conduct of the recently National Merchant Marine Aptitude Test (NaMMAT) by participating in the comprehensive orientation for exam personnel held at Conference Room, October 22.
Before the orientation, Ma’am Leny Eugenio Echano, Office Assistant, Test Services Management conducted an ocular inspection of the designated examination rooms to ensure that all venues were properly arranged, well-equipped, and conducive to a secure and organized testing environment. This pre-orientation activity allowed the team to identify logistical needs and make necessary preparations ahead of exam day.
Spearheading the session was Ma’am Echano who emphasized the crucial role of coordination, integrity, and efficiency in the administration of large-scale examinations. Echano thoroughly discussed the duties and responsibilities of examiners, proctors, and checkers, as well as the key procedures to be observed on exam day to maintain fairness and order.
The event concluded with a shared commitment among SCMBT personnel to ensure that the NaMMAT will be conducted with integrity, accuracy, and efficiency, providing every examinee the best possible testing experience as they take their first step toward a maritime education and career.
