𝐒𝐮𝐚𝐧 from the Hospitality and Tourism Department proudly brought home the 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐫𝐲 at the prestigious 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐀𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, held on August 26–28 at the World Trade Center, Metro Manila.

Embodying the theme, “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙢𝙖𝙨 𝙎𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚,” Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology Inc. spread warmth and compassion to the elders of Hapag Aruga Foundation Inc. in Managpi, Calapan City, through an outreach program held on November 7.

Southwestern College of Maritime Business and Technology proudly represented by Dr. Marivic D. Fernandez and Mr. Charles Ledgear G. Abante participated in the MIMAROPA Basic Labor Market Information (LMI) Training held on October 10, 2025. The event, organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), focused on enhancing participants’ understanding of Labor Market Information, Employment Forecasting, Digital Transformation, and Green Jobs.

The 3-day conference ended with all attendees participating in the “Collective Commitment Ceremony” as each one take turns in signing in the enlarged commitment paper. It was a very worthwhile activity that challenged all the participants to take further action in writing research with global standards and to partake with the sharing of best practices that are worth emulating.
