Accompanied by Sir Zaldy D. Andal, SHS-OIC Principal, Major Jonny V. Magluyan, Discipline Officer and Sir Bern E. Alvis, the students embarked on a five-day maritime journey from December 9 to 13, navigating the route from Manila to Cebu, then to Ozamis to Butuan, and back to Manila.
Throughout the voyage, the students had the opportunity to engage in various activities that mirror real-life maritime operations. Tasks included ship navigation, safety drills, cargo handling, and learning about maritime protocols.
The immersive journey was made possible through partnerships with maritime organizations, providing the vessel and resources to ensure a comprehensive and practical learning experience.
Upon their return, they carried with them not only the technical knowledge gained but also a deeper appreciation for the responsibilities and opportunities in the maritime industry. This successful immersion underscores the SCMBTās commitment to producing competent and industry-ready graduates.
