The workshop was conducted under the Southern Luzon Cluster as part of CHEDโs initiative to strengthen the understanding and implementation of the revised PQF Level Descriptors among maritime educators and program implementers.
The activity focused on equipping maritime faculty and program implementers with a deeper understanding of the revised PQF domains and level descriptors, while providing practical guidance on aligning curricula, syllabi, and assessment strategies with the updated PQF standards. It also aimed to strengthen institutional compliance and readiness for upcoming quality assurance requirements.
Moreover, the revised PQF emphasizes competency-based progression, ethical responsibility, and lifelong learning, with its domains organized into Knowledge and Understanding, Skills and Application, and Responsibility and Autonomy.
Through initiatives such as this, the institution continues to strengthen its academic programs and prepare future maritime professionals with competencies aligned with evolving national and industry standards.
