On October 21, 2023, a Bloodletting Activity was conducted at Southwestern College of Maritime Business and Technology Inc., Quezon Drive, Calero, Calapan City. 28 students participate in the bloodletting activity that was conducted by Oriental Mindoro Blood Council.
The activity was led by Dr. Cielo A. Ante the head of OMBC with the support of Mr. Don Manfred Corona. Mr. Corona said that they conducted the bloodletting activity to promote good health to maritime students. Also, for students to know their blood type and test if they have sickness.
The main goal of the OMBC is to help student have participation in the blood donation program of Oriental Mindoro. Before the activity ended Mr. Corona said, “The blood that has collected will help the patients in Provincial Hospital especially the cancer patient, dialyzing patient, thalassemia patient and cs patient.”.
The bloodletting activity was a success through the coordination of Ma’am Lerma Palomera with the Oriental Mindoro Blood Council.
