𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 I Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology maritime students are currently participating in the Basic Training held at Philippine Nautical and Technological College (PNTC) Training Site in Tanza, Cavite from December 1-6.

A total of 186 second-year Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) and Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) students are taking part in the intensive week-long training.

The said training aims to provide students with the foundational skills and certifications required for their maritime careers. The course includes a series of critical modules designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and practical experience needed for safety and emergency situations aboard ships. These courses include Personal Survival Techniques (PST), Elementary First Aid (EFA), Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF), and Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR).

This training serves as a vital step in preparing students for their future careers, helping them develop into responsible and competent professionals in the maritime industry.
