National Merchant Marine Aptitude Test (NaMMAT) Cycle 2

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 I Examinees from different schools across the MiMaRoPa Region took part in the National Merchant Marine Aptitude Test (NaMMAT) Cycle 2 held at SCMBT Main Building, March 15.

The examination was conducted through the joint efforts of the Center for Educational Measurement, Inc. (CEM) and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and was offered free of charge to qualified examinees.

Under CHED CEB Resolution No. 543-2025, the NaMMAT serves as a key requirement for admission to the Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE) and Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation (BSMT) programs.

The test evaluates the readiness of aspiring maritime students for maritime education and officer training, helping ensure that future seafarers develop the skills and competencies needed in the maritime industry.
