𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 I MARINA Regional Director Pays Courtesy Visit to SCMBT
Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology Inc. welcomed Atty. Maximo I. Bañares, Regional Director of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), along with his delegation, during a courtesy visit held on campus.
The MARINA officials were acknolwedged by Atty. Armando S. Fernandez, CEO/President; Dr. Marivic D. Fernandez, Vice President and Registrar; and Dr. Paul Arvin D. Fernandez, Vice President for International and External Affairs. The school administrators expressed their appreciation for the visit and underscored the value of sustained collaboration with MARINA in advancing maritime education.
Aimed at strengthening institutional ties, the engagement provided an avenue for both parties to exchange insights on maritime education and training, including key developments, regulatory updates, and future initiatives that impact maritime students and professionals.
School representatives also showcased the institution’s academic programs, training facilities, and ongoing initiatives focused on developing competent and globally competitive graduates in the maritime field.
