CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO — Executives from Intership Crew Philippines conducted a two-day institutional visit to the Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology Inc. (SCMBT) on August 26–27, 2026. The visit focused on inspecting campus facilities and reviewing academic programs to open international career pathways for Onboard Training Maritime and Hospitality students.
The delegation evaluated three core academic offerings:
Diploma in Ship Maintenance and Repair (DSMR)
Bachelor of Science in Maritime Transportation (BSMT) & Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering (BSMarE)
Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management (BSHM)
STUDENT ORIENTATIONS & MERIT-BASED CAREER PATHWAYS
A central highlight of the event was an orientation session held for top-performing students who have completed their classroom instruction, alongside selected third-year maritime cadets. The session outlined international career opportunities, vessel placement, and requirements for Onboard Training (OBT).
