𝘾𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙣 𝘾𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙊𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙤𝙧𝙤 – 𝙁𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙮 19, 2026 . The much-awaited 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐎𝐋𝐘𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 of 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒘𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆, 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑻𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒚 𝑰𝒏𝒄. (𝑺𝑪𝑴𝑩𝑻) officially opened today, February 19, at the Camilmil Gymnasium, bringing together students, faculty members, and school officials in a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship and unity.

The ceremony commenced with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, beautifully rendered by 𝗠𝗮'𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗝𝗵𝗼𝘆 𝗚. 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀, setting a solemn and patriotic tone for the event. After that, a meaningful prayer was led by 𝗠𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻𝗻𝘆 𝗩. 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗹𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻, asking for guidance, safety, and fairness throughout the duration of the games.

This was followed by an inspiring opening remarks delivered by 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗘. 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗶𝘀, who emphasized unity, teamwork, and discipline as foundations of both sports and maritime professionalism. Subsequently, 𝗖/𝗘 𝗘𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗲 𝗣. 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗻, Dean of the Maritime Department, delivered his message, encouraging students to demonstrate resilience, camaraderie, and integrity—not only in competition but also in their academic and future seafaring careers.

One of the highlights of the program was the oath of sportsmanship led by 𝗗/𝗖𝗗𝗧 𝗝𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗦𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗼, where student-athletes pledged to uphold honesty, respect, and fair play. The energy inside the gymnasium intensified during the bench cheering competition, as teams proudly showcased their creativity, coordination, and school spirit through powerful cheers and yells.

MARINOLYMPICS 2026 officially marks the beginning of days filled with competitive spirit, unity, and maritime excellence—strengthening not only physical endurance but also the bonds within the SCMBT community.
