Participants gained valuable insights from local and international resource speakers who discussed emerging trends in research, artificial intelligence, proposal development, digital research tools, ethical research practices, and transformative extension programs.
A major highlight of the event was the official launch and presentation of the RDE Office structure and research framework, providing participants with a clearer direction for future scholarly and extension initiatives. Faculty and staff also engaged in interactive discussions that emphasized collaboration, institutional priorities, and opportunities for meaningful partnerships both within and beyond the academic community.
Meanwhile, final day shifted from learning to action as participants worked in teams to identify institutional and community needs, develop project concepts, and draft initial research and extension proposals. These outputs will undergo further refinement in the succeeding months through mentoring and guidance from the Research Office, ensuring that the summitโs outcomes translate into sustainable and impactful projects.
More than a professional development activity, the said summit served as a platform for empowering educators and personnel to become active contributors to knowledge creation and social transformation.
