Showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and skills, two students from Southwestern College of Maritime, Business, and Technology have secured medals in the Philippine National Skills Competition held at the World Trade Center, August 21-25.
Keah Honne Glenne M. Suan acquired the Silver Medal in the Hotel Reception Category, demonstrating outstanding customer service skills and professionalism. Similarly, John Mark A. De Leon excelled in Wall and Floor Tiling, earning the silver medal.
They were guided by their coaches, Sir Michael R. Semilla, Ma’am Oliva D. Lastimosa, and Sir Lowie R. Tolentino.
The said competition was organized by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) highlighting this year’s theme “Empowering the Future: Advancing Skills for Tomorrow."
Suan and De Leon will advance to join the ASEAN Skills Competition to be held in 2025.
