π‘ππͺπ¦ I Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology Inc. successfully passed the Maritime Training Institution (MTI) inspection and evaluation with zero deficiencies, reaffirming the institution's commitment to delivering quality maritime education and training that meets national regulatory standards.
The comprehensive inspection and evaluation were conducted by the MTI audit team composed of Mr. Mark Harry U. Lantan, Ms. Wilma M. Dela Cruz, and Capt. Manuel D. Evangelista. The team thoroughly assessed the institution's compliance with MTI requirements by examining its facilities and equipment, teaching aids and reference materials, course packages, instructors and assessors, and administrative requirements.
Following the evaluation, SCMBT was found fully compliant with the requirements of MC Nos. SC - 2021-09 and SC-2022-05. The institution was likewise recommended for the approval of the maritime training courses including Ratings Forming Part of a Navigational Watch (RFPNW), Ship Security Officer (SSO), Security Awareness Training (SAT) and Seafarers with Designated Security Duties (SDSD).
In recognition of its full compliance, SCMBT was granted an operation approval valid for ten (10) years, signifying the institution's sustained adherence to MTI's standards for maritime education and training.
