𝐒𝐂𝐌𝐁𝐓 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲

 
 

Southwestern College of Maritime Business and Technology (SCMBT) community gathered for a heartfelt Thanksgiving Mass, celebrating the achievements and blessings of the institution held at Annex Covered Court, October 8.

The mass, led by Fr. William B. Abas, provided a moment of reflection and gratitude for students, faculty, and staff.

Key officials in attendance included Atty. Armando S. Fernandez, CEO/President; Dr. Marivic D. Fernandez, Vice President; and Dr. Paul Arvin Fernandez, Chief Operating Officer. Also present were C/E Erdie P. Taganguin, Dean of Maritime Education, and Sir John Rhome Mamangon, OBT Supervisor, contributing to the sense of community and shared purpose during the ceremony.

Following the mass, a blessing ceremony took place for the newly constructed covered court, a significant addition to the school's facilities. Fr. Abas led the blessing, invoking a sense of joy and purpose as key officials, faculty and students gathered to witness this milestone. Moreover, Fr. Abas also blessed classrooms and other facilities on campus, reinforcing the importance of gratitude for the spaces that support learning and growth.

The blessings symbolized the college's commitment to fostering a supportive and spiritually enriching environment. The celebration of achievements and blessings, along with the blessing of new facilities, highlights SCMBT's dedication to continuous growth and improvement.
