With the theme "Tamaraw at Katutubo: Pamana at Likas Yaman, Patuloy na Pangangalagaan," the Mindoro Wildlife Quiz Contest took place at the Oriental Mindoro National High School Gabaldon Building, October 12.
The event showcased the importance of wildlife conservation and the rich heritage of indigenous communities.
A total of 73 participants engaged in this enlightening competition, answering a diverse range of questions that tested their knowledge and comprehension of the topic.
Representing Southwestern College of Maritime, Business and Technology were Vaughn Chester Enrile from Grade 11 Titanic-STEM and Jillan Angela Hernandez from Grade 11 Titanic-ABM who were mentored by Sir Bern E. Alvis.
While they didn't secure a top spot, their perseverance and dedication serve as an inspiration to all. Their journey exemplifies that the courage to compete is a significant part of success.
