Aimed at enhancing safety awareness, emergency response capabilities, and a strong sense of personal responsibility, college students from various programs of Southwestern College of Maritime and Business Technology (SCMBT) are currently undergoing Basic Training at Capipisa, Tanza, Cavite.
The training is being facilitated by 2M John Rhome E.J. Mamangon, who is solely handling the entire program. Participants include students from Hospitality Management (HM), Tourism Management (TM), Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management (DHTM), and Diploma in Ship Management and Repair (DSMR), along with a number of Maritime students.
The program covers four essential courses composed of Personal Survival Techniques, Elementary First Aid, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, and Updated Personal Safety and Social Responsibility, all designed to equip students with practical skills applicable in real-life situations.
