Lighting up the CCAA 2024, student athletes from Calapan City's state universities and colleges gathered for an exhilarating opening ceremony hosted by Luna Goco Colleges. The event, led by emcee John Lou, commenced promptly at 5:00 PM, setting the stage for the intense competition ahead.

Mr. Marvin Panahon, Head of the City Youth and Sports Development Office, delivered inspiring opening remarks that resonated with the athletes. Dra. Luna Goco, the esteemed President of LGC, officially inaugurated CCAA Season 19 with a heartfelt speech, filled with unwavering support and encouragement, igniting a passion for fair play and sporting excellence among the participants.

The athletes were welcomed with messages of steadfast support from City Mayor Hon. Marilou Flores Morillo and Vice Mayor Bim Ignacio. Adding to the festive atmosphere were Chief Engineer Erdie P. Taganguin, Dean of Maritime Education, and OIC John Rhome Mamangon, OBT Supervisor, both showcasing their strong support to the student-athletes and the SCMBT community.

The ceremony featured vibrant dance presentations from various schools and a captivating performance by Tawag ng Tanghalan: The School Showdown Grand Finalist Isay Olarte, which delighted the audience.

Following the performances, teams proudly paraded their colors, marching with ambition as they aimed for the throne this year. The ceremony concluded with the Oath of Sportsmanship, administered by renowned athletes Maria Lina Isabel Molde (Isa Molde) and Cherry Ann Rondina (Sisi Rondina) of Choco Mucho, reaffirming the athletes' dedication to fair play and respect.

With a successful kickoff, CCAA 2024 promises to be an exciting season filled with camaraderie and community spirit, fostering the skills of every Calapeรฑo.
